Teaching about the colors of the rainbow? Well here is a wonderfull story and a colorful snack to go with it. Make it an unforgetable topic, bring on the rainbows!
Start by reading a book about rainbows. There are so many amazing ones to choose from, our class favorite is A Rainbow of My Own by Don Freeman. A Rainbow of My Own is a heartfelt story regarding a boy who has a great imagination and thus so imagines having a rainbow of his own and all the things that he would do with it. Spark your students/child interest in rainbow and let the magic begin. Now it’s time for rainbow toast! This activity is so simple and the kids love it.
