It is so hard to believe that March is back with us again. This has been a tough year for everyone with Cov but we are getting through it. I wanted to share a few March resources that you can use in your classroom this March to raise the spirit up!
St. Patrick's "I am lucky"
Brainstorm with the kids a list of "lucky" things prior to the activity and let them choose four that fill their own lives with magic.
☘ They must color each page how they want
☘ Write/draw down their four "lucky" things in the leafs of the full shamrock
☘ Cut out the full shamrock and the four separate leafs
☘ Glue the four separate leafs onto the full shamrock, creating flaps that open and reveal their own "luck"
Leprechaun Counting Brew
Kids must pick a recipe card. Then identify the number and count out the corresponding amount of items indicated. After the recipe is complete they mix the brew. Then sort the items in the tray and play again!
Optional recording pages can be included to do a little extra work.
Or kids can fill in the blank recipe cards, count out the items, and mix the brew.
St Patrick's BINGO
This game is very easy to play. When the kids get three in a row, column, or diagonally, he can yell “St. Patrick” instead of traditional “Bingo” for much fun. You can use coins or other related things as Bingo markers (or cereal) and enjoy the game!
The prizes can be different too, they may be mandalas, cute pencils, treats, choose a silly dance, whatever you want.
St Patrick's Pancakes
Delicious St. Patrick’s Day Pancakes are so simple to make and are the perfect way to get the spirit up! There is just something so much fun about eating rainbow-colored food. Especially, when it is something that the kids make/ put together.
The children can help with the making of the batter or simply just have everything layout for them to decorate.
Ingredients:
☘Pancakes
☘Whip cream
☘Fruit loops and lucky charms
☘Pipe cleaner
☘St. Patrick toppers
St Patrick's Confetti Poppers
Have some fun creating this confetti poppers and playing with them. They are easy to build and not much material is needed.
Material
☘1Toilet cardboard roll
☘paint or paper (rainbow color)
☘1 black balloon
☘Glue if using color paper
After you have build it their are many ways to have fun:
☘ Designate a certain amount of pompoms and a place to each player and give them 60 secs to shoot their pompoms to each others side. At the end of the 60 secs the one with the least pompoms on their size is the winner.
☘Fill it with confetti and have a confetti war or party.
☘Place a target and see who can knock it or reach it.
☘Place a container and have the children race to shoot their pompoms in. The first ones to do so is the winner.
St Patrick's Worksheet
Have the children solve puzzles, play games, color, practice school subjects and more in a fun way.
