Would you rather || Warm-up || Online Meeting Act.
One of my class favorite game is “Would you rather...”. It becomes very pleasantly to see how engaged the students stay through the whole activity.
My experience
I created 14 “Would you rather” questions and placed them on Google Slides and presented them. My classroom needs visuals and pictures, so this was helpful. They all had fun answering the questions and loosen up to start our class meeting.
How to use:
Option 1: A viable variation is also to print them out so you can hold them on camera for your students and ask away.
Option 1:You could also screen share the questions with your students if you are comfortable with that instead of printing them out. If you prefere this option then just add the images included in the file to a google slide or a powerpoint slide and they will be ready to use.
Tips for more fun
To make the game more interesting and include everyone in the fun, I added some movements. I asked the students “Would you rather have a pet dinosaur or have a pet unicorn?” Then I said, “If you would rather have a per dinosaur, touch your cheeks. If you would rather have a pet unicorn, pat your ears.”
This way you will be able to see everyone’s answer at the same time and they could see each other’s answer. Plus it is great to keep the game moving at a good pace inorder to get through all the questions in a timely manner.
